Aussie Dollar

The local currency reached parity with the US dollar late on Friday night, a level not seen since the unit was floated in 1983 (the year I was born...).

 Beside this being bad news for farmers and manufacturers as their exports become more expensive it is quite good news for holidaymakers travelling overseas (us) ihihih lets hope it stays like that for awhile!
